📄 New Documents Section Added
We’ve introduced a powerful new Documents section to help you easily create, manage, and display legal documents for each banner.
You can now add:
- Privacy Policy
- Cookie Policy
- Terms of Service
- Any other legal or custom document
These documents will be displayed as links within the banner, giving users direct access and improving transparency.
You have multiple ways to add your documents:
- ✅ Insert a link to an existing privacy policy page
- ✅ Generate policies using CookieScript’s built-in Privacy & Cookie Policy Generators
- ✅ Upload your own PDF or DOC file
- ✅ Use our built-in text editor to write custom policies directly

🛡️ Privacy Policy Generator Enhanced
We’ve updated the Privacy Policy Generator in collaboration with certified Data Protection Officer (DPO) lawyers to ensure better alignment with GDPR and other global data protection regulations.
This enhancement brings more legal structure and reliability to your generated privacy policies.
⚠️ Important note: Due to legal constraints, we cannot guarantee that the generated privacy policy is fully GDPR-compliant.
To ensure 100% compliance, we strongly recommend consulting legal advisors in your specific jurisdiction.

⚠️ "Show Extra Links in Banner" Deprecated
The "Show Extra Links in Banner" feature has been officially deprecated.
Extra links are now managed via the Documents section in the banner configuration.
To include custom links (like Privacy Policy or Terms of Service), simply add them as documents under the Documents tab when editing your banner.
This change improves link visibility and centralizes document management for better compliance handling.
🛠️ To update your setup, go to: Banner Settings → Documents → Add document (Privacy Policy, Terms, etc.)
🚫 Disable IAB GDPR Applicability
Introducing a new toggle that gives you finer control over GDPR signals sent to the IAB TCF framework.
By default, CookieScript sets gdprApplies: true, signaling that GDPR applies. Now, with just one click, you can choose to set gdprApplies: false for users outside the EEA or when GDPR doesn’t apply.
✅ Use this option if:
- Your data processing activity is outside the scope of GDPR
- You want to avoid unnecessary restrictions for non-EEA users

Banner Settings → Frameworks → IAB TCF → Disable IAB GDPR appliance
📋 Consent Mode Validation Log for GTM implementation
Introducing a new Validation Log that records every consent-mode check and flags any misconfigurations in your GTM setup, so you can troubleshoot issues before they affect your data.
Use this log to identify and resolve setup errors quickly

🔔 Auto-detect GTM issues
We’ve added a proactive notification mechanism: our system now runs daily checks on your consent-mode configuration and will send you an email if any issues are detected.
You’ll receive Information about any validation errors in your GTM setup

⚖️ Regulations Selection Step
Introducing a new step called “Regulations” in the Banner Creation Wizard, where you can choose exactly which privacy laws to comply with.
Select from over 20 regulatory frameworks—like GDPR, CCPA, and more—and our wizard will automatically generate a banner tailored to your choices.
